Introduction

I’d like to welcome you to my site. I hope I can teach you something along my journey. If you have something to teach me, please do!

I’ve been working for over 12 years in the STEM fields and hold a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. For me, the experience I’ve gained over the past 12 years has formed the majority of my “STEM career fortress”. College contributed to the framework and provided a foundation to build this all on.

The two previous things were not even the hardest parts though. I’ve found that I have an inherit skill for working with technology and solving problems. Where I struggle is at the other end of the wire, the social aspect. After reflecting on the last 12 years, I’ve discovered that the people I interacted with, both good and bad, all taught me something and contributed the most to my progress.

While taking a new direction with my career via the Programming route, I’ve decided to add a social aspect to it. I will develop that skill and see where it takes me.  People add a new dynamic to everything because they are not as predictable as computers. This will make it fun and interesting while providing a new challenge. Overall I think it will make the transition much more enjoyable and educational because I will pickup skills that I can use in any situation.
